So, You Want to Party!

July 16, 2008

Everybody loves a Party and the Mexican People have lots of them.

The Lake Chapala Society (LCS) has a big one every year in July, This year’s Fiesta will be held at the LCS grounds on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Ajijic restaurants will set up food booths and there will be not one, but count ‘em, two show stages. There will be shows by the Peru Pipe Band, a folkloric dance troupe and musicians and even belly dancers and other assorted live entertainment.

A silent auction is also planned with two timeshare condos to be bid on (One in Manzanillo and the other in Corpus Christi, Texas).

Tickets are just 100 pesos each, but if you buy early you can get in for half price. Just stop by the LCS or Bancomer in Chapala or Ajijic for the half price tickets on pre-sale.

Fiesta proceeds help support the Wilkes Education Center, tuition for LCS-sponsored students and the Children’s Art Program; worthy causes all.
