“What Color is Your Angel ?”

Well the color of many of our angels here in Mexico is green. The ‘Green Angels” are the name commonly applied to the men who patrol the highways and byways of Mexico in green and white trucks equipped with extra gasoline, oil, and basic tools to help stranded motorists in need of repairs or who may have not have watched the old fuel gauge closely enough and ran out of gas.
These hard working ambassadors of the road (who are often bilingual) were created back in 1960 abd are now regulated by the Mexican Tourist Department and have enjoyed a good reputation for all these many years. You can call for assistance by dialing the 078 hot line number for immediate help.
Mexican President Filpe Calderon recently saw that the “Angeles Verdes” received a needed shipment of 159 new trucks, At the same time in addition to helping motorists with minor repairs and their other responsibilities he added one more task to which they are particularly suited since they patrol 24 x 7.
Now the ‘Angels’ will be reporting dangerous places on the highways in need of immediate repair to the appropriate authorities.
So, now you know the color of your angel …. at least while you’re in Mexico !
