A Message from Moonie

Moonyeen King of “Love in Action” asked me to post this announcement.

Hi Sid,

We have taken an abused woman into the shelter, she is a beautician by trade, and she is going to set up school for the older girls. …Could you put our need on the blog, and use either the box number on the flier I gave you,or mine. Moonyeen King.P.O.Box 354.Chapala,Jalisco 45900. Mexico.

If you could keep Love in Action on your blog for awhile,we would really appreciate it.

Your interest in the shelter is much appreciated, and I will be happy to take you there anytime.

 Thanks, Moonie”

OK, here’s the message Moonie wants to get out to everyone written by Pat Wayne.

“Hello friends.  My last email generated a lot of comments…..thanks for all the kind words. For those of you who are NOT living here in the Lake Chapala area, thanks so much for your offers to mail us beauty care/manicure products.  Unfortunately, we would have to pay duty when they arrived here, and the duty would be EXPENSIVE.  So mailing us gifts from the US/Canada is not good for us.
We do need a couple of other items.  First of all we need Dell printer supplies:  ink cartridges (color are 7Y745 and black are 7Y743).  Ink cartridges are very expensive here.  We refill them ourselves until the printer won’t accept them anymore.  That’s where we are right now!  If you can help, that would be wonderful.
Also, we are looking for drivers for some of our special ed students.  We are hoping you can help us round up people to transport 3 or 4 children: Chavela, cecilia, Angelica and may be Blanca too, to and from the “Blue School” for the special education classes at 1:30 p.m. and picked up at 6:00 p.m.
Angelica needs to be taken to the DIF in Ixtlahuacan at the same time, so she is usually dropped off after the rest are taken to school.
Al Roseman takes them on Mondays and Thursdays, so we only need people for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

This is a great chance to get to know a few kids individually…….can you help us on a regular basis?  Blessings, Pat Wayne
