Looking for a Rental?

Looking for a Rental ?

There’s no one place to find rentals like a multiple listing service.

Before I go on, I should say that I personally do not get involved directly with rentals. There are just too many variables and quite frankly I don’t want to be in the middle between you and the rental agency or rental manager.

Please listen to the audio link mentioned below to best insure any rental you may contract to rent is actually ready when you arrive to take possession.

Prices can sometimes be negotiated. Remember you will pay more during the high season in the winter months. Other times of the year are less expensive and unless you’re trying to escape snow and ice, probably not worth the extra cost.

Remember our weather here is almost always great.

Some of the larger Real Estate firms have rental departments.

Obviously they hope at some point that you may want to buy a home from them.

IMPORTANT !  Please read my article telling you about “Whose Behind the Curtain” here at Chapala Club to learn  a lot more about what I can do for you and  especially why you can be better served by a Buyer’s Broker who has your best interests at heart rather than a part time agent who is either a rental agent or a listing agent.

The bottom line is “Only a buyer’s agent such as myself really have only your best interest at heart.”

The large rental agencies associated with Real Estate firms are not necessarily the best places to look for a rental. Finding just the right place at the right price will take some work.

Rentals vary greatly in amenities, convenience to shopping etc,.

Please listen my audio  which is all about how to best unsure your rental is ready to move into when you arrive.

The best way to find a really nice rental is  to come for an exploratory trip. Check with some of the rental agencies, look at the bulletin board at the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) to see what might be available there, and ask around a bit before you make a final decision on a rental.

Below  are a few of many links you can find on line to rental agencies.

The first two links are to agencies I’ve had good reports on. This is not to say that some of the others may not be better.

All for now. Good Luck ! Siempre tu amigo, Sid
