Do You Need International Insurance ?
I’ve had some questions about “International Insurance” for folks who travel a lot in and out of Mexico and may not want to use the IMSS (Mexican Social Security health care system) exclusively or at all.
So after a bit of research I’ve located some information for you as a starting point in looking into International Health Insurance.
It’s true that residing or visiting outside your country of citizenship may create challenges for your healthcare program.
Brief trips or extended relocations expose you to risks which may not be covered by your current medical insurance.
Many steps need to be taken to protect yourself from accidents and unforeseen illnesses while abroad.
Even seasoned business travelers often overlook the need for international health insurance, assuming that their domestic medical plan will provide coverage.
A firm that’s been around for some time and offers various plans for coverage here in Mexico and pretty much every where else in the world is called “International Insurance – Seguos Inc.” run by Tony and Patricia Hamrick.
Their website states “We offer excellent plans by Insurers that offer 24 hour availability, pay international claims in U.S. dollars, are rated by AM Best as “A” or better.’
So, click on this link to visit their website, but be sure and come right back here by clicking your back button to check out all the other great information right here at www.ChapalaClub.com
