How About a Relaxing Thermal Water Spa at Lake Chapala?

Thermal Water Spas at Lake Chapala

I love to show clients all the homes and attractions they want to see while visiting our beautiful area of Lake Chapala – Ajijic, Mexico.

But, after a few days of looking at homes at some point they all seem to run together.

That’s when it’s time to take a break, have fun of a different type and … perhaps “ take the waters” as people have been doing in our area for hundreds of years.

There are several spas, most of which are West of Ajjic, in or near the village of San Juan Cosala and the Raquet Club development of fine homes.

One such spa has a large pool, a spa, massages, and a nice hotel all in the same complex.

I’m speaking about the HotelBalneario complex in  San Juan Cosala.

The complex is located on the shores of Lake Chapala, only 15 minutes west of Ajijic and 30 minutes or less from Chapala. Here you will be able to enjoy the benefits of “Thermal Water” rich in minerals; which many people claim can cure what ails you.

Natural Hot Springs come bubbling up from the ground at  over 98 degrees centigrade or 208.4 degrees F. That’s hot !

The Spa Villa within the complexhas 12 rooms with views of the Lake, a swimming pool with thermal mineral water, gardens and a restaurant bar.

The  spa offers various types of  massages like: The Swedish massage (relaxing), Therapeutic massage, Massage with Hot Stones, Seaweed massage, Aromatherapy, Facials and Reflexology.

People claim that the “waters” reestablish the vital energies of their internal organs, as well as purify, hydrate, and oxygenate their skin.

There’s also a “ Temascal”. This is a natural steam room to help you eliminate the toxins of your body by transpiration and to revitalize your mind and soul. So, take a break and take the “waters”. You’ll be glad you did !
