Lake Chapala Then… and Now !

October 27, 2008

Lake Chapala has many animations from blustery to almost dead calm.

Lake Chapala has many faces from sunny bright and stunningly beautiful to a bit sad and a little dreary.

Lake Chapala has many moods from gloriously happy surrounded by happy people from all over the world smiling and laughing along with her… to sad times when tragedy strikes her in the form of the occasional drowning of a fisherman or other event beyond her control.

She has many moods some of which are a bit melancholy and others full of joy and excitement.

Lake Chapala is a very old lady; almost as old as time ….and yet she is as new and fresh as the bright eyes of the children who now swim happily along her shores.

On these pages and especially in the videos here you’lll see a lot of her and hopefully come to love her as almost everyone does who’s met her, if only on a brief visit to her shores.

This particular video gives you a look back with some older views of her in black and white which contrasts nicely with her newer more colorful look in the last part of the video. She looks even better now with her brand new clothes which you will have to look at one of her more recent videos to see.

Be sure and watch all the videos of her on these pages if you really want to learn more of her secrets.  I’m still discovering her secrets after knowing her for well over a decade.
