An Oasis of Love in Paradise

An Oasis of Love in Paradise.
Here’s an update on the Love in Action group, written by local Ex Pat and tireless lady of giving so much to those who have so little, my friend Pat Wayne. So enjoy the update and give some thought as just how you may be able to put some action in your own love for the children of Mexico.I think you’ll agree with me that the Love in Action folks and their supporters have really been putting a lot of love into their recent actions or it is a lot of action in their love.
“When we began, the amount of work seemed almost insurmountable.
Almost every bathroom needed expanding; the boys’ dorm needed a kitchen, open rooms needed to be converted into dormitories. The washing machines were worn out, while electric and gas and water supply lines needed beefing up and fine tuning.
We painted the rooms and washed the curtains and bedding. We moved furniture from one end of the property to the other (and sometimes back again!). The property had been empty for a few months, so EVERYTHING needed cleaning.
We redecorated the school room and painted it bright cheery colors. We are now painting our name and our logo on the exterior walls so everyone knows who we are! Our basic mission was to renovate the old Oasis property to hold a whole bunch more people than it had ever held before. And together…….
WE DID IT!!!!!
In the process, I met a lot of new people and added them to our growing email list. We hope that each one of you will pass on this email to your friends and family, as we continue to share the story of Love in Action. You might like to take a look at our blog site:

In the next week or so, you will learn about our planned celebration on the site, and we hope you will be able to attend. By that time, all the children will be living at the new property, and the final moving details will be complete. I’ll let you know our plans as soon as they are finalized.
In the meantime, Anabel and the Board of Love in Action wants you to know that their great dream has been attained and at long last, the children have space to run and play and dream.
One final word: we expect our operating costs will significantly increase with all the new space. If any of you can help us pay a specific bill (such as the water or the electricity or the gas, or telephone or internet—you get the idea–we would love to talk with you.
Thank you so much! Blessings !” Pat Wayne
