Come Drive with Me at Lake Chapala

November 4, 2009

We’ll be beginning our drive from the new Wal-Mart store in San Antonio Tlayacapan which is located at the intersection of the Carretera (roadway that runs from Chapala to Jocotepec along the North shore of Lake Chapala) and the Libramiento (by pass road) that connects the Carretera with Highway 23 just North of Chapala.

From the Wal-Mart store we’ll drive East toward Chapala passing by Riberas del Pilar (a large development) , by Chula Vista, Mirasol, and Lomas del Manglar and into the West edge of Chapala.

So come along and let’s see what we can see along the Carretera.

Hi Sid! Again a wonderful video to show what life is like at the Lake. I am so greatful that I found your website. It has given me more of what I have been looking for with all your videos. I really like the walk through downtown Chapala and the market. Keep up the good work. Betty

Hi Sid, we are really enjoying the video tours that you have been doing lately and hope you keep doing more. It gives a very clear idea of what the different areas and what it actually looks like in the Lakeside area. I don’t drive in England because there is way too much traffic, but think I would like to renew my drivers licence in Mexico. Is it possible to take a driving test in English there – or would I have to wait until I could speak Spanish?

HI Betty, WOW, You made my day. I really enjoy doing the videos. I took Television Production waaaay back in 1972 when I needed a fine art elective. We used a Sony tape video camera (B & W) and then our productions were put on the local cable channel.

I learned to do story boards and other basic production techniques. Each student had to prodcue one complete program on their own. I loved doing it but until recently haven;t put those old skills to use.

Thanks again. Siempre tu amigo, Sid

Hi Jane, Thanks for your comment. You’ll find that people here are very friendly. I would go one weekend night to the “La Tasca” club/restaurant one night when the Tall Boys band are playing.

I see a lot of single ladies there when my wife and I go and they all seem to be having a great time.

If you might ever be in the market for a home at some point as an Exclusive Buyer’s Only Realtor then you should take me up on my no pressure get acquainted area tour.

    Thanks again. Sid
