I really enjoyed reading your post. I loved my gentleman’s farm in East Texas, but I love Lake Chapala too.

Glad to hear sales are picking up some in East Texas. I was fortunate and sold my farm in Van Zandt County in 10 days after putting it on the market I actually received $10,000 more than my asking price since I had two people bidding on it. I used a number of marketing strategies all at once to sell and they paid off.

Other nicer homes in my area which had been for sale for many months were still for sale when I left.

If you at some point decide to sell your place there let me know and I’ll share with you the best way for a quick sale at a fair price, even in a slow market.

Hi Kathy, You may not fit either of the categories mentioned in the article, but you will sure fit in well here at Lake Chapala. There’s an active social life for singles here. I’ve not been to Merida, but from what I’ve read we have a much better infrastructure and tons better weather.

Yes, the beach is very close for them and our closest beach is Mazanillo (half day drive) but we have year round perfect weather here.
