Beat the Coming Boom at Lake Chapala Ajijic Mexico !

Deena Katz, 53, an independent financial adviser and the president of Evensky, Brown & Katz, a financial planning firm in Coral Gables, Fla., has some definite opinions about her generation, the so called Baby Boomers.

“I don’t think the boomers will be a generation of traditional retirees,” Ms. Katz said. “We will be a generation of repositioning….

This will be their salvation from the problem of not having saved enough. When the mutual fund industry says you can’t retire on less than 70 percent of your preretirement income, the boomers will say, `Not me, baby; I’m going to figure it out.’ “

The differences in housing prices around the world and especially here at beautiful and affordable Lake Chapala Ajijic Mexico show why boomers are sure to move  here in large numbers.

A survey a few years ago by Harris Interactive for Del Webb found that, 59 percent of baby boomers aged 44 to 56 said they would relocate after n retirement; while a similar survey in 1999, indicated  that only 31 percent of those from 48 to 52 said they would relocate.

Ms. Katz is quoted as saying, “We’ll see a great exodus from the cities into a simpler, less complicated lifestyle. But it will be a positive thing for the boomers  not, `You’re going to have to sacrifice and downsize!’ but, `I want to make my life simpler and the plus in that is that it’s going to cost me less.’

In my opinion the smartest of the Boomers will be heading South to Lake Chapala Ajijic where their retirement pensions will go even farther than the less expensive areas in the USA or Canada… and with a lot better weather.

But, you may be saying to yourself, but I have or will have a comfortable pension and can live right where I am. Great, you’re very blessed. I’m also blessed in that my own pension is at least three times what I “need” to have to live here comfortably… so why did I come here?

The people, the climate, and the extra  luxury that my nice pension gives me here.

There’s room for us all. So first choose Lake Chapala Ajijic as your retirement destination. Then, choose your level of luxury.
