April 2, 2010

Ajijic Lakefront soon to be even better The Ajijic’s waterfront recreational area renovation project already underway, which has been on a temporary hold, is continuing to move forward. Chapala Urban Planning director Enrique Rivas recently made a public presentation of the blueprints for completing the renovation The plans presented include finishing touches for the promenade along this portion of the lakefront,  a total remake of the nearby Amistad Park, and even more walkways adjacent to the west end shore. Horse Riders The plan calls for green areas on different levels next to the long pedestrian walkway, and even includes a level small field for sports. Plans also call for new picnic tables, new restrooms and more playground equipment.. Eight-million-pesos will be used from Jalisco State and Federal Government funds with supplemental funds from state and federal tourist agencies.
