New Lake Chapala Ajijic Elder Care at Affordable Prices

We’ve all heard the term “Old Folks Home” but many of them are not really Home Like at all in that they are large, cold feeling, and expensive.

I just discovered a brand new Elderly Care home, that really is a home.

Located in a convenient, safe, and beautiful area of Lake Chapala in an area known as La Floresta.

But, you don’t have to take my word for it. Take a look  at the below two videos to meet Fernando and his Mom Terre.  The first video is an interview with Fernando who will answer many of your questions. The second Video is a tour of the home itself so you can see the bedrooms, living areas and kitchen.

Why are their no listings under the Chapala Webboard Header?

    Hola Sid!
Thanks for another great article. I have many years in taking care of the elderly. It is wonderful to see they have a home for those that can’t take care of themselves. What a lovely couple they are. Keep up the good work.

Hi Betty, Thanks for your kind words. Lake Chapala Mexico is a wonderful place to retire, to grow as a person, and to have elderly relatives close by knowing that they will receive loving care at affordable prices. Thanks as always for your welcome comments.

I read in a previous Chapala Club posting something about rental income in Mexico is not taxed. I do not remember the details. If I bought property to be rented in Mexico, is that income taxed in Mexico or in the U.S.? In your opinion, what is a good way to get a good return on our money that would be better than leaving our money in an IRA or various mutual funds in the U.S.? We hope to retire at least part time in the Lake Chapala area in the next few years. Thank you for your information.

    Hello Chapala Club,

I would like to thank you for posting videos on an elderly care facility in the Lake Chapala area. Are there any more in Lake Chapala? My father, who is 77 years old, has difficulty walking and I failed to notice any wheel chair ramps in the facility you highlighted.

    Hi Debbie,

Thanks for your comments. Not sure if there are ramps at Elderly Care or not, but I feel certain that a ramp could be added if needed.

But, yes, there are other facilities in the area as well. Alicia’s Retirement and Nursing. Call from the USA 011 52 376 766-0721.

    Also there’s Blue House Nursing Home abjclay@yahoo.com Tel from USA is 011 52 376 766 1256.

    And, Casa del Lago 011 52 376 765 2497

    And, La Cosa Nostra 011 52 765 4187 and
    La Sagrada Familia 01152 376 762 1425

Hope one of these will meet your needs.

Hi Marsha, First I should say that I’m not an investment counselor nor a tax consultant. US CItizens as I understand it are taxed on their worldwide income. So, they would want you to pay US tax on income from rentals properties here.

I will say that a number of North Americans here have invested in rental income property here.

Sorry, I could not be more specific but there are so many investment options and each persons situation is unique that I can’t comment more. Siempre tu amigo, Sid

Can I contact the places Sid mentions via e-mail ? The only one that he says has an e-mail address is abjclay@yahoo.com
