A Haunting Melody of Lake Chapala

August 27, 2011

Hi Everyone.  As most of you know, I’m married to the second love of my life, Arcelia Lopez Serrano.

That means I have a very large group of in-laws. They adopted me into the family and we love each other.  Many of them live in nearby Guadalajara, which and usually they can only come to visit us on weekends or holidays.

In addition to lots of good home cooked Mexican food, practicing my Spanish  and playing with the kids I enjoy going with them to visit one of our local Lake Maelcons .  On the day that I filmed this video we were in Chapala, which is larger and more popular Malecon than the one in Ajijic.

It was a refreshing afternoon for us to share as a family and great opportunity for me to observe the culture in action, people watch, and make videos for you guys.

There’s almost always one or more musical groups near “Fisherman’s Fountain” playing for everyone’s enjoyment. And, if you enjoy their music enough the groups are always appreciative of the donation of a few pesos.

So, lean back and enjoy the below performance of what I’ve named, “The Haunting Melody of Lake Chapala”.
