Don’t Let Your Lake Chapala Dream Become a Nightmare

March 14, 2012

From time to time, I get e-mails from one of my advisors like Jack Canfield. They are always inspiring and useful to me.

Sometimes I think, “Wow! I need to share this with our Chapala Club members.
So, here’s a quote from one of Jack’s e-mails to me.

“Dear Sid,

Successful people play at 100 percent. They adopt a "no matter what it takes" attitude and put everything they have into getting their desired results.

Many people think that they are fully committed to their dreams. But the truth is they let themselves off the hook with excuses and exceptions.

For example, maybe you say that you're committed to getting in shape, but you make an exception to your "run 6 days a week" commitment when you're traveling or when the weather is rotten.” Jack Canfield

You know I think we’ve been all been guilty (some more than others) of not being as committed to our dreams as we could be. I’d be the first to admit that sometimes I fall off my own dream wagon sometimes.

But, somehow, I always get up, dust myself off and climb back on the wagon toward realizing my dream. I’m living my dream life now here at safe, beautiful and affordable Lake Chapala, Mexico.

So, if living here in our little slice of paradise may be one of your dreams… or even if you’re still deciding if it might be a possible dream for you, I want to help.

Just think of me as your “Dream Master” to help guide you in your dream so that all the pieces fall in place

… and most importantly that your dream comes to wonderful reality and doesn’t turn into a night mare as it has for a few people who did not get good information, trusted the wrong person to guide them, or made what they later had to admit was not a well thought out decision.

Personally, I’ve never had a client in my 10 plus years of experience here that found themselves living a nightmare. I’ve met the people who had the nightmares after they contacted me and explained the details of what happened.

Some have lost many thousands of dollars, are involved in lengthy lawsuits against builders, or in serious disputes with real estate firms in the area.

They started with a dream and wound up in a nightmare. I always listen sympathetically and advise them as best as I can given the facts as they relate them to me, but usually they called me too late.

Most of the time by the time I get the call, there’s not much I can do to help them, except to lend a sympathetic ear.

Please do not let this article deter you from your dream. Just hook up with someone that you’ve checked out, someone who’s experienced, and someone who represents your best interests and not those of the seller.

Of course I’d like to be that “someone”. To learn more just drop me an e-mail to Sid@ChapalaClub.com and please put “Chapala” as the subject line, because I want to find your e mail first so I can respond to it pronto.

Siempre tu amigo,

Sid, thanks for putting in a good word for me with Ian.  I think he and his wife are giving serious consideration to a full time rental.  I could be wrong but I think they may be “snow birds” who come to escape Canadian winters.  I told them we could work something out. I have my fingers and toes crossed!

If this works out I will take you and your lovely wife to dinner!  I am a terrible cook, or I’d invite you to my new home.  But we can do cocktails at my house!

    Thanks again!!
