Take a Walk Along the Chapala Boardwalk with Sid Grosvenor

March 7, 2012

The Lake Chapala Boardwalk or Malecon as its known here locally is really a series of Malecons at the towns along the lake.
The largest, most popular and nicest in the area is in downtown Chapala.
(See the below video for a short walk with me on a recent evening in late February.)
There’s also a very nice Malecon in the village of Ajijic and another nice one as you enter the western most town/county of Jocotepec.
Other towns between Chapala and Jocotepec either have begun work on their own malecons or at least have plans for one. Each one has its own character, charm and individual beauty.
When you come for a trip here, I recommend that we look at all of them as part of a day tour of the North Shore you can schedule with me by sending me an e-mail to Sid@ChapalaClub.com.
In the meantime, watch the below short video to see just one small part of the Malecon in Chapala just after sundown.
