Shopping Mexican Style at Lake Chapala

July 18, 2012

Hi Everyone,

One of the things I like about living at Lake Chapala is the slower pace of life, where you know your neighbors, it’s easy to make new friends, and things change slowly and some things pretty much are timeless.

The below video was shot in 2008 , but it could have been shot yesterday. It’s one of our more popular videos showing the alternative to the Wal-Mart that showed up a few years later.

Shop or eat your restaurant meals here at the Chapala Market and you can live a great life on very little money. I enjoy eating at one of the Mom and Pop small restaurants, getting a shoe shine and picking up some fresh veggies enjoying “people watching” as the Mexican people go about their day to day lives.
