Lake Chapala Bargain Apartment

October 3, 2012

Hi Everyone,

Our subscribers often ask me about inexpensive apartments within walking distance of shops, stores, and restaurants here at Lake Chapala.

Here's one of the nicest ones I've seen and it's not only close to the Lakefront, a large nearby park, the central market, restaurants, and the American Legion, but there are some perks not normally included in this price range.

A bonus is free WiFi Internet and off street parking. Small pets are welcome as well. Tenant pays gas and Electric. Water, shared washing machine, and off street parking provided by the owner. All this for 4500 pesos or about $400 a month. Six Month rental term.

I woud estimate that gas and electric would run about $35 to $50 a month depending upon how frugal you are.

You can e mail me at Sid@ChapalaClub.com for more information. Just put "Chapala Apt" in the title so your e mail will stand out in my in box, because I want to give it priority attention.

Check out the video below. The bedrooms are nice sized by the way. I missed showing them in the video.

All for now, Siempre tu amigo,  Sid Grosvenor

Hi Sid — have you come across any similar deals in Ajijic?
    Thanks,

     Hi Bill,

Most of the rentals in Ajijic are listed by rental agencies. I help Mexican friends
market find tenants wh prefer not to use an agency. I recommend the Lake Chapala Society bulletin board for none agency rentals. Most of the rentals on this bulletin board are in Ajijic.

Agencies are not allowed to use the Lake Chapala Society Bulletin Board.

As a rule rentals are more expensive in Ajijic/ Hope this helps. Tu amigo, Sid

    Hi Sid,,

We would like to make a trip from Yuma, AZ to Chapala for a two week period sometime before the end of March 2013.  We are looking for an economical apartment with sleeping space for three (a double or queen, and single), as well as simple cooking facilities.  Something small and basic, within walking distance of necessities would be acceptable since we plan to spend this time searching for suitable accomodation for a longer period in the future.  Have you helpful advice for us?

    Thanks.
    Roberta

     Hi Linda,

There’s a Santander bank in Chapala about a 10 minute bus ride
    from Ajijic.

Hope you have a great time while in Ajijic. Tu amigo, Sid

Hi Riberta, Most economical apartments in Chapala. Check bulletin boards in the area. Especailly check the ones at WalMart, Super Lake Grocery and the Lake Chapala Society to find less expensive accommodations

E mail me for another idea that might be even better. Tu amigo, Sid

I’m not ready to retire quite yet, but I really like seeing the apartments you find by Lakeside.  My day will come.

It just occurred to me that you’ve got a very steady hand when walking with your camera.  Is that you or modern technology at work?

HI Again Jack,  I’ve slowly learned how to hold fairly steady, but YouTube also has
a box you can check that uses the software to smooth out shaky videos. I don;t recall now if I checked the box for this help or not now.

All for now, Tu amigo, Sid

  • Olive Keller

Hi Sid, I am looking for an apartment for me and my two small (7 lb) doggies. My price range is 600-1000 usd. Any suggestions for me. Resources, etc.

  • http://www.facebook.com/SidGrosvenor Sid Grosvenor

Hi Olive, Check with Jorge at Hernandez Real Estate on the highway (carretera)
next to WalMart on the South side. He and his helper do not sell homes. Remember it’s best to go in person after you arrive,

If at some point (assuming you love the area and are sure buying is right for you) then send me a e mail, Sid (at) ChapalaClub.com. I can have one of our team show you the area AND help you find a rental in the meantime.

Remember my team and i are the only true Buyer’s Only Realtors in the area. Never a charge to you for our services. Tu amigo, Sid
