One of Ajijic’s Best Kept Secrets

November 30, 2012

Hi Everyone,

Sid Grosvenor here with a new Bed and Breakfast recommendation. All of my clients who have stayed at the Adobe Walls have enjoyed their stay. I think you will too,

Check out the below information captured from their website.

“Location: Ajijic, Lake Chapala, Jalisco, Mexican Riviera, Mexico (35 minutes from GDL Int. Airport)

Accommodations:  Villa, 1 Bedroom, Bath (Sleeps 2)

Adobe Walls is an old hacienda style villa that has been lovingly restored. We are located in the Sierra Madre mountains of Mexico, on the shores of Lake Chapala in the village of Ajijic. Within our walls you will be transported back to an earlier era, a more genteel time, allowing you to slow down, sit back and relax….or to go exploring the magical Lakeside villages abundant with gorgeous flowers and friendly people!

Here you will enjoy tranquil vistas of Lake Chapala, the breathtaking mountains, and listen for the click of horses' hooves on cobblestone streets. You might stroll the Village and wander into shops; run barefoot on the shore of Lake Chapala or venture a mountain hike. Whether you seek a peaceful retreat, a romantic getaway, or simply want to experience natural wonder, you will find it all at Adobe Walls.

We are ideally located. The Guadalajara International airport is a thirty-five minute drive from Ajijic. This graceful hacienda is a favorite for travelers seeking the magic of a quiet lakeside village with restaurants and shopping close by, and the convenience of nearby, cosmopolitan Guadalajara.

Our villa is located in the heart of the village. Nearby attractions are a leisurely stroll away. Less than a block away are the shores of Lake Chapala and numerous restaurants with live music nightly. For example: the famous Restaurante #4, Nueva Posada, La Tasca, and La Bodega are within a short stroll nearby. The Lake Chapala Society(LCS) and surrounding boutiques are two blocks west of us. The Plaza is four blocks away.

Horse back riding in La Floresta; El Torito grocery store, and Cinemas del Lago movie theater are all within a five minute walk. And for your enjoyment and convenience, affordable tours and transport to any other destinations you wish to visit is easily arranged.

Our room, Zorro's Hideaway, (see photo) is fit for a visiting dignitary on a secret mission from the King– has a cozy fireplace to warm the heart and soul of the romantic. With a plush queen sized bed and en-suite bath, the weary traveler can relax, totally immersed in old-world charm!
