Villa Nova – Ajijic, Lake Chapala, Mexico
November 12, 2013

Hi Everyone,
Well, today I want to share a video from a few years ago I shot of a beautiful older neighborhood within walking distance of the Ajijic Plaza.
The distance is enough to shield you from much of the noise of the village like water trucks, propane sales trucks, etc. which are part of the day to day fabric of a Mexican village.
You will not be far enough away however to avoid the sounds of the various fiesta celebrations of the village. Close, but not too close. The video was made about 4 years ago, but Villa Nova, like all but the newest developments and all of Mexico seem to have a timeless quality and gives us a sense of permanence in our lives.
Hope you enjoy a look at Villa Nova. Tu amigo, Sid
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Reference for the Lake Chapala Area, August 27, 2013
I have been interested in the Lake Chapala area for several years, and I read several web forums which have been helpful for getting a feel for the area. The forums, however, don’t always give you the “nuts and bolts” information you need if you are planning a visit to the area to see how it might work as a retirement destination. This book is a great reference guide, and I can see that it will be a great help in planning a trip to the area in the future, and it gives many ideas to consider that would not be obvious. It is a high quality book, and the included map supplement will be helpful as well. If you are considering this area for retirement, I would suggest this book to help you with the process.
