Hi Everyone,

I’m getting more and more e mails from single folks wanting to find a short term rental for a month or so to see if our area agrees with them. I have a friend that rents (by referral only) in Chapala by the day, week or month. Her place offers a nice private room with private bath, use of the complete community kitchen, Cable TV (not much English), WiFi, use of  a community Living and Dining Room, and even a laundry room with washer/dryer.  She charges $500 USD per month.

You can walk all over central Chapala from her place (Malecon, Plaza, Shops, Restaurants and the bus stop for going to Ajijic is just outside. I’ve enjoyed staying there a number of times before I bought my home at Lake Chapala. You will not find her place advertised as she works on referrals only.

Now if you’re looking for a room by the day, week or month in Ajijic here’s a video of a popular place in the heart of Ajijic Village very close to the plaza, shops, restaurants (one just outside the rooms in the courtyard), and to the Lake itself.

Let me know when I can help. Tu amigo, Sid

Hi Jack, E mail me and I can connect you with the owner. She’s an older single lady and doesn’t want people just stopping by. Thanks, Sid

It’s a great deal since, water, wif fi, electricity, gas, a laundry facility and furnishings are included. It also has Lake views and you can walk to restaurants, shops, and the Chapala malecon.
