Hi Everyone,

Today it’s market day (Wednesday) at what is called locally “Tianguis”. One day each week they close the cobbled stoned street that separates the beautiful addition called La Foresta (Flowered area), from Ajijic (the village), on the North Shore of Lake Chapala, Mexico and allow vendors of all sorts to hawk their wares.

Notice there’s one man hand grinding Mexican coffee beans. I can almost smell the wonderful aroma the coffee gives off as it’s being ground. I’m sort of a coffee nut, and of course Mexico has some of the best coffee in the world.

As you watch the video, note that there’s a nice mix of local Mexican people, and local North American shoppers, looking for bargains of all sorts.

OK, enough chatter from me. Click the start button on this recent video and imagine yourself with basket in hand, doing you weekly shopping.  But, if you’re not into traditional market shopping and bargaining, there’s a Wal Mart just over a mile down the road.

I call it the “Best of Both Worlds”.  Disfrute el video! Tu amigo, Sid
