Hi Everyone,

As we age it’s good to not just exercise our bodies responsibly but our brains as well. Living at Lake Chapala both are easy to do.

The great year around weather encourages us to get outdoors more, walk more, garden, join one or more of the foreign community groups. Some focus on various types of mild exercise programs, dancing of one type or another.
OK, someone out there just said, “I’m not a big ‘joiner’.

That’s fine there’s no pressure to be a social butterfly, You can still go outdoors year around here and just walk along the Lake or on one of the trails in the area. Free, fun, and good for you!

You’ll be taking in more fresh Oxygen, and your blood flow will likely improve as well over all. Both are good for your brain and heart.
If you do this regularly it becomes a great habit that could add many years to your life and the weight loss will help your self esteem.

My third recommendation to improve your brain, your self esteem, and save money is to study Spanish. It need not be tedious, expensive or dreaded.

If you live here you know you can get by at Lake Chapala – Ajijic with very little Spanish. But, the more Spanish you speak the more money you will potentially save.

In an emergency situation you could even save your life or that of someone else, because your could ask for help in Spanish.

Studying a foreign language has also even been proven to improve our brains and of course adds to our self esteem.

So, there you have it. If you exercise both your body and brain more as suggested above you will Improve Your Brain, Your Self Esteem and Save Money. And… it’s not necessarily expensive either.

All for now, Siempre tu amigo, Sid
P.S.

    Hi Anne,
No I found the photo on line but we have scenes as pretty in the Spring. Not seen cherry trees here, but I think they would grow well here. Almost everything does with the great soil, mild temps, and plenty of water.

I didn’t recognize the blooms as cherry blossoms. It did not give the location, but
it so reminded me of our spring blooms I used it. Something is blooming it seems here all year long.

I was just being a little lazy. Tu amigo, Sid
