Easy Spanish for Everyone- Introduction

July 29, 2015

Hi Everyone, At Lake Chapala – Ajijic, Mexico yoy can get by on very little Spanish, When folks ask me, “Sid do I have to learn to speak Spanish if I move to Lake Chapala?” I always answer , “No you don’t have to, you get to!”

You don’t have to because so many Mexican people here speak basic English, especially those in the service industries, restaurants, and real estate folks. That being said I highly recommend that you learn some basic Spanish. Yo will be rewarded with a big smile and kind words like, “Your Spanish is very good!”, even though you know it’s not, at least not yet.

I’ve tried a lot of courses both on line and off line. I used to teach English in Guadalajara and that’s where I met my wife. I was her first English teacher Yes, I’m still teaching her English. But, I’ve learned more Spanish more quickly with less effort from one particular on line course called, “Snergistic Spanish”. No boring grammar drills, or complicated conjugation rules to learn by heart.

You just learn by listening and repeating much like you learned your native language. The course has many levels so you can go from beginner to advanced.  It also offers a variety of ways to learn. The below lesson is an example of the way I learn best.  Please let me know if you’d like to have more of these lessons. Here’s your first lesson.

Tu amigo, Sid
