    Sid-

Several times when I have tried to look at your “issue” the site has nothing beyond the title. This includes the one today about living on a pension.

I hope you can get this corrected.

    Hi Betsy,

Sorry, you;re having trouble opening the articles
    sometimes.

I’m on the computer a lot and I must admit that some pretty strange things happen for which I have no explanation.

The article you could not open about the “Budget” other readers were able to open just fine. See above comments and my response.

I don’t know of anything I can do on my end to help or of course I would do so at once.

Perhaps if instead of clicking on the e mail link you just went to the the http://www.ChapalaClub.com site directly from a book marked link… or just typing in the URL or using Google to access the site you could access it OK.

Sorry, I could not be more helpful. I see I had another complaint on the same subject.

I’ll ask one of my guru friends what might be happening.

If I learn anything useful I’ll post it here in these comments.

You might ask any of your own guru computer friends if they know what might be happening

All for now, Tu amigo, Sid

Can you direct us to information about Mexican health insurance? We just want to prevent losing our house (that you are hopefully going to find for us) because of an unexpected hospital stay.
We’ve heard of the local clinic coverage, which sounds great. How difficult is it to get on the national health insurance and is there affordable private hospitalization insurance?
    Thank you

    Hi Friends,

First you have to have a local address to use. You have to have an FM3 or FM2 visa. Then you can apply for the IMSS (National health care system)

The new process is that you take a medical exam and if you pass the exam you’re accepted and can immediately begin to use the IMSS system.

There are great hospitals in Guadalajara. There are a number of International Health care plans that work in Mexico.

Just do a Google search and you should find a number of them.

Send me an e mail to Sid@CHapalaClub.com and we can discuss your situation more in depth.

Thanks for your comments. Hope this helps. Tu amigo, Sid

Enjoy your e mails. We are moving to Lake Chapala from US on August 27th. We will cross the border in Laredo. We are trying to see if we can find some other travelers to caravan with around that time. Do you have any suggestions?
